If you are looking for a quick, fluffy read that you won’t get emotionally invested in, then Something Lost isn’t it.
Lana returns to her home in Montana after years of being away under the guise of her job but she’s actually coming back for Mark, the handsome rancher she’s been in love with her entire life. She’s hoping to seduce him and finally get him out of her system.
Despite her plans, the opposite happens and she falls even more deeply in love.
And so does Mark, despite all of his issues; namely his more than understandable fear of abandonment.
If you love angst, this is definitely a read for you. I am always a sucker for angst, but I did eventually find myself getting a little frustrated with theirs. So, SO much miscommunication and secrecy, and so much unnecessary distancing because of it.
But such is life, isn’t it? Messy and ridiculous and beautiful. Real.
So is this book. Read it 💙
