Diecinueve garras y un pájaro oscuro by Agustina Bazterrica
4.0
Most of the stories have intriguing premises and a lot of them delivered an equally captivating execution. There are truly bizarre, creepy, and unsettling stories, some of them have a more fantastical tone, while others depict true horrors in more realistic ways. Bazterrica expertly and effectively distills important subjects such as child abuse, violence against women, beauty standards, and more into moments and a few pages. Nonetheless, a few stories seemed to want to shock just for the sake of being shocking, and the author's message wasn’t clear.
