I had high hopes for this book, the synopsis was intriguing and I liked the overall premise.

Unfortunately the entire story fell flat and I’m left with more questions now than before I started.

Very disappointed. I felt no attachment to the characters and it almost felt like the author got distracted and lost the main plot of the story. The book itself was very slow which I had hoped was leading up to something...

However, I am no clearer on who the miniaturist is or what the point of it all was!
