This was adjacent to good, but only just
This is a pretty generous three stars. I really found this to be quite boring. The beginning had promise but once the MCs met it was insta attraction with miscommunication and both of those tropes are not interesting for me.
The evil Duke villain was the only redeeming storyline in this. I did not care much about anyone else and trudged through this story when I probably should have DNF.
Also, I was promised a grovel and no grovel happened. 😡. The author mentioned it was necessary twice and then backtracked very quickly to a forgiveness with no apology.
