The Toll by Neal Shusterman

4.0

4.5 stars*

I honestly think this was the best book in the series.

The only critique I would have to make is the fact that the original main characters weren't the main characters anymore. I mean, sure, Cytra and Rowan were a part of the story, but they weren't the main focus. Scythe Faraday and his co-worker, the Toll (aka Greyson Tolliver), and Scythes Rand and Goodard were the main focuses.

Besides that, I loved the book. The plot was nice - it had some twists I wasn't expecting, like Goodard being the one who destroyed the Thunderhead's space exploration plan.

And the ending . . . it was so sweet with Rowan and Cytra finally having their piece on another planet. I almost wish there was a little 3.5 book so I could see their future and how the space exploration 2.0 went.

Overall, a great ending to the series.
