Description makes it sound way creepier than it is.

Bostonian and wealthy numbers guy Owen (age 38) goes back to Maine to help sell the family business after embarrassing legal mess caused by his dad, reuniting him with four brothers he grew up with an likely a fifth half-brother he has no interest in seeing.

Local Lila (age 28, but life has aged her beyond that number) — ex of Owen’s half brother — is back in town to town to work whatever jobs she can before going to grad school in NYC. After how the town treated her and her single mom, she’s ready to get out ASAP.

Great intro to their family dynamic. Interesting angle of the “age gap” and ex-of-sibling romance.

1st book I read by author, and it got me hooked on this series and the Lovewell one before it. (Yes, I read the two series out of order.)
