White Fragility: Why It's So Hard for White People to Talk About Racism by Robin DiAngelo

5.0

God, this is so groundbreaking. I adore this book very very much. I am an Asian male which (kinda clearly) not the actual target of the book (as it is written for white people as the collective). I understand that several conditions are not relatable to me personally. However, the ideas offered in the book are eye-opening to this racist world. The author really knows the root of the problems of racism in the US as Diangelo clearly stated that racism is not a sole an eventual agenda, but rather a structure (I COULDN'T AGREE MORE). Beside the very well explanation how racism is a problem of structure derived from history and is manifested in the new form, the book also talk about how denial is the common tendencies when race issues is brought onto the table to white community. Although some of the premise I disagree, the book brings me a whole new perspective to talk about race, racism, and self-reflection.
