Ugh, this one was even better than the first one for me minus all the Armstrong drama. That man needs to be slapped or punched repeatedly, he was truly a misogynistic pig who needed to be put in his place. But in turn, we got badass Amalie. She's incredible and I loved how she stood up for herself every time he tried to come for her. She found her voice and I'm so happy about that. Also the resort in Bora Bora! I have literally always wanted to go there, so seeing it in this book as one of the settings was a delight. As much as I loved Ruby and Bane, I thought the spice with Amie and Lex was off the wall. This book hit the spice almost instantly and I loved it. I also enjoyed how attentive Lex was to her. It was sweet and I valued that part of their connection. The Helena humor was there too, but this certainly had an emotional layer as well. Overall, I'm a big fan of this series so far!
