The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot

5.0

This book was absolutely amazing. The ability to weave science and life -- in one of the saddest histories ever -- into a (*GASP*) readable and interesting tale is Skloot's strong point. The discoveries and complications of the HeLa cells would satisfy any science geek, but the REALNESS of the people involved, from Henrietta to Davon gives the story life. I was sucked into this book from page one. I am so glad I had to read this for my History 1302 class. :D
