Ama is a wedding planner with a bubbly personality. She’s always been fascinated with weddings, since her mother has been married 16 times. When she’s asked to plan a high-profile wedding, she realizes she’ll be stuck working with Elliot, the brooding florist she was involved with a few years ago. It’s clear that the way things ended between them has deeply affected them and for Elliot, the pain still feels fresh.

This story is told through dual POV and dual timelines, Ama’s being in the present and Elliot’s being in the past, giving us a glimpse of their relationship. Although it was a bit of back and forth, I loved reading from both of their perspectives and seeing their inner feelings about the situation. They’ve both been deeply hurt by what happened in the past and throughout the book you get to see their perspectives starting to shift as they draw closer and closer to each other. The push and pull between the two main characters is so addicting I couldn’t put it down (and I may or may have not pulled an all-nighter because I needed to know how it ended).

There were so many moments that pulled on my heartstrings, made me laugh actually out loud (maybe even a snort), and I definitely cried a few times. I absolutely adored this book and has definitely become my favorite book of this year so far. Might I also include there’s quite a bit of spice as well 🙈
