A Throne From the Ashes by Chloe C. Peñaranda

3.0

3 - ⭐️⭐️⭐️

“Until the end of days, Reylan Arrowood.”
“Maybe even longer, Faythe Ashfyre.”

A Throne from the Ashes is the third installment in the An Heir Comes to Rise series. This review won't be long but I don't know if it's me or the direction of the story, I'm losing my interest in it.

It could also be the new POV as I'm not invested in Zaiana's chapters at all. I couldn't connect with her. And after the second book I'm not that invested in Nik either.

Maybe it's me and not the book.

But I will say I loved how Faythe and Reylan's relationship developed throughout this book, the slowburn was toe-curling and they are so wholesome. We even got spice!

The author did say going forward—this series will be more New Adult.

This series made me reminisce a lot about Throne of Glass but it did not win me over even though TOG was multi-POV. I don't know if this is where I stop and say good bye to it even though I really want to know what happens next with Faythe and Reylan.

It could be a "me" problem but we shall see.
