Trauma and Recovery: The Aftermath of Violence - From Domestic Abuse to Political Terror by Judith Lewis Herman

hopeful informative medium-paced

5.0

This was an excellent introduction into trauma work and I really appreciated the suggestions on how to work with people going through trauma. The format of healing this book presents may be imperfect or not work for everyone, but I think it's a good foundation to build off of. It also gave me a deeper understanding of what life is like for people working through trauma - and how to more fully understand their position and perspective.
