An Irish Rockstar for Christmas by J. Saman

medium-paced

3.0

An Irish Rockstar For Christmas would have been a five-star read for me, but the way the family handled Hunter was too awful for me. He was an aggressive, infantilizing, misogynistic, disrespectful, handsy bully, and no one did anything about it. In fact, Vivian’s brother, Peter, seemed to encourage it. Cian and Vivian handled the situation perfectly, but I couldn’t digest the apathy everyone else showed toward it all. It didn’t vibe with the picture the author was trying to paint of how close, quirky, and Griswold-y the family was. Very weird. I get that Hunter was there for conflict and forced the fake relationship trope, but ick. No means no dude.
