a genuinely beautiful book that i cannot even muster up the words to sum up the depth of my feelings for. there's a certain moment here where it just clicked for me, where the outpouring of emotion felt like a watershed moment, a dam that had long been about to break. there's great value here about the value of confession and the illustration of a hand reaching out in vain for god, in encapsulating the moment in which you thought you reached theosis only to find yourself deep in the muck and the dirt and the detritus of the world, awash with sins when all this time all you wanted was to be holy...

this is a good book. that's really all i can say for it.
