I was so pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this book. I absolutely love coming across a well-deployed flat arc in a a book, and Aneques was such a wonderful example of a character firmly rooted in a sense of self and purpose, not going through any major changes or growth but more carving out space for herself in the world.
