When I read the synopsis about this book, I was convinced dragon is the villain animal of this story who takes a girl from a nearby village in every 10 years and eats her up… Come on!!! Thats what the synopsis says!!!! You don’t believe me?!!! :O

Ok!! Ok!! My bad!! It DID mention Dragon is a wizard.. But I somehow missed it and thought there is a REAL dragon, when sadly.. There isn’t… And in first couple of pages he even seemed tolerable!! Apart from the taking a girl in every 10 years (and returning them as well.. I know it sounds confusing.. He takes a girl, keeps her for 10 years.. After that returns her and takes another..), even though those girls swore he never touched them.. I mean who does that?!!! -_-

But as I kept turning the pages the distant , arrogant dragon some how kept becoming endearing… And Agnieszka (I still can’t pronounce her name properly :#) is a pure gem!!! I loved her thoroughly. I loved how what a klutz she was, how smart mouthed badass… I loved the banters between them..

“It comes, I suppose,” I said thoughtfully, speaking to the air, “of spending too much time alone indoors, and forgetting that living things don’t always stay where you put them.”

“Oh, be quiet,” I said impatiently; of all the excuses he might have used.

And I what I loved most about them is, Agnieszka did not try to change or chase or pursue dragon to stay in a relationship. How they both are independent individuals.

Ohh.. Another thing about relationships… How do you guys feel about sex scenes? I mean when your favorite characters have sex? I really feel uncomfortable… Wait.. let me explain why… Whenever I read a book, I become a part of it. I am always there where the characters are. So when they kiss.. I cheer them up!! When they started making out, I feel “AWWWW“… Now.. When they start to have more than that, I want to say, Excuse me guys!! You have company!!! To which of course they pay no heed and I have to escape to give them privacy!! In other word I skip the pages :#

I know I know… I have already gave out a little bit of spoilers.. So I won’t say anything more. Because anything about woods, Kasia, their villages contains MAJOR spoilers!!

All I will say IS try this one out… Its magical and you will get a strong headed-kluts-badass lead 😉
