This was exquisite. I tend to be reticent about "literary fiction", in a well-I-did-my-time-with-the-English-degree kind of way, and am more of a genre reader generally, but this was so readable and unpretentious while still being deeply poetic and perfectly constructed. Lives all the way up to the hype.
