4.5
The moral complexities of war begin to emerge brilliantly in this book, opening the way for the final installment. More is revealed about Draco's backstory, through which Rowling portrays moral ambiguity excellently. Also the moral fall of Dumbledore is a slow burn that really kickstarts here. Phenomenal.
