First of all, i need to say that i'm really, really glad i didn't read this before Obsidian! Yes, it's a prequel and normally you read that first ... but Obsidian is way more interesting without all the "background" info about Dawson and what happened - while I read Obsidian I was as clueless as Katy and that was good!

Anyway, Dawson is amazing! I enjoyed this Novella a LOT and i love his relationship with Bethany! They were really cute and

Especially when they climbed the mountain - and she fell and he saved her - that was AMAZING. His pain when he thought he lost her, ugh. But their confession! ♥

Bethany was VERY likeable! I didn't know what to expect because I knew nothing about her - at least not about her personality - but I immediately loved her!

Also! The scene where she finds out about Dawson's true form was so good!

Now don't get me wrong - the novella was great - but it was ... kind of the same as Obsidian? Of course, because what happens is almost the same too but I think I expected a little more. Plus, I have so many questions - especially because I already read Onyx!
