This book to me is not only sad and has some topics that are tough. Also beautiful, funny, easy, calming, and more. Two girls on a journey that find each other in pure love and good intentions.
-I love me some Queenie.
-Give it up for the color though.
-I loved everything about this read. How each month we approached the author talked about the zodiac sign.
-Mable thinking about Afua for her wish was so selfless of her.
-Audre makes me want to visit Trinidad so bad.
-The way the relationship grew between Audre and her dad was amazing. To the point they had a great conversation that they both needed.
-The moment between Audre and Jazzy. Heartwarming. Jazzy made her feel so safe. I love that.
-Mable’s family and friends are A1 for sure.
-The girls trip just made my face and heart smile.
-I will never understand people like Audre’s mother. Just sick…so happy Neri found her people to feel safe and loved.
-I listened while following along in the book and the audio was great. I loved how the voice changed when Mable had dreams.
