"We're insane together, toxic even. We enjoy pushing each other to the point of madness in order to feel something, but you find yourself by getting lost in the darkness and loosing ourselves in one another seems to be our own form of chaotic reconning."
These two are just so real, raw, and utterly toxic, and it's something special to be connected to two characters that have so much depth to them. This book has a lot of dark themes, and these two have backgrounds that are chaotic and messy. This was a story of learning to love despite life teaching you nothing good ever comes from love. This is a story of overcoming addiction and learning to reach outside of your safety nets. It was just so beautifully written and utterly captivating. I highlighted so many deep and meaningful quotes, because this book was just so full of beautiful demons.
The performance was absolutely amazing! I just really love the voice of the FMC. Both characters had a lot of emotional parts, and they both did so amazing. Also there was nothing like listening to Joe Arden trip and sing on an audiobook.
