A Solitude of Wolverines by Alice Henderson

Did not finish book. Stopped at 50%.
Slow, main character flat and weirdly dumb (a scary note is left for you and someone tries to run you off the road, almost everyone in town is mean to your face, and then an engine belt breaks in a suspiciously clean manner and you are like ‘huh weird’? GIRL.). I won’t even get into the toxic relationship. And by halfway, not enough mystery had happened to make me even want to skim for it.
