Crazy, Stupid, Fauxmance by Shellee Roberts
4.0
Have you ever needed a book with romance and characters that you could just get swept up in and forget everything around you until you finished the book? That was this book for me. I didn't realize how much I needed this one.
This is the third book in a series of high school romances, but I jumped right into the story without missing out on the first two. Shellee Roberts does a wonderful job of making her story stand out from the sea of crowded high school romances. She let me peek into the world of art, theater, and Rockabilly style, all while keeping the story very believable. Her characters get detention for PDA in the halls and are reprimanded for staying out too late. She keeps the high school romance story cliches to a minimum. (Although the overall plot is a cliche, but that aside..)
It was a quick read, partly because of the first scene that hooks you in from the very beginning. I highly recommend it for someone looking a beach read, or something light and fluffy. Don't let the fluffiness fool you though, I was shouting out loud and sobbing along with the main character.
Shellee Robert, you are a wizard with your details and now I secretly wish I could wear my hair in Victory Rolls. Thank you for writing this story and thank you Entangled Publishing and Netgalley for hooking me up with a copy of this.
