Loved how this book approached trauma in both of the main characters. It really showed how hard it can be to get past a traumatic event. While Trishs was "worse" than Andrew's, they still struggled in their own ways. Trish with men. And Andrew with trust. It was amazing reading about these two characters and how they lashed out and started healing. The work put into it. It was also interesting to see the justice system at work in this book. The author really wrote about a situation that happens so often. The justice system fails domestic abuse and sexual assault victims daily. The author really hit home with that. As well as seeing how easy it is for a perpetrator to get loose and find their victims again. Great book with lots of accurate situations
