Ash and Feather by S.M. Gaither

5.0

4.5 I will always love Dravyn and Karys. They're forever my favorites. Their relationship is so beautifully written and their patience and understanding towards one another is goal-worthy.

I appreciate S.M. Gaither for writing Karys the way that she did. I have NEVER seen a character have the kind of OCD and anxiety that I have. There is one spot where she is contemplating if she's simply walking incorrectly and it's causing the problems that are occurring, and that broke my heart because I have been there, wondering if I don't do a basic thing in a specific way because it crossed my brain, will something go belly-up because I didn't do better. Her love for lists and making logical ends meet was so relatable for me. I've seen neurodivergency in a lot of books, but never have I seen it to that specific of a degree, and it was so refreshing yet also vulnerable to read, and I loved it, so HUGE props for that.

Moth is still everything. So read this duology then come scream with me about it.
