Mapleshade's Vengeance by Erin Hunter

5.0

Finally, a good Warriors villain. I mean, not that Tigerstar was lame or anything, but compared to Mapleshade's thirst for vengeance and death, he's a fluffy, friendly kit. Mapleshade's Vengeance... how do I put it...? is very violent and gory. But that's sort of what makes it such a good read. It's very fast-paced and shows you one blood-filled event and skips right to the next, which, again, is why I find it so enthralling to read. It follows the young she-cat Mapleshade of ThunderClan as she falls in love with a RiverClan warrior, Appledusk. She soon finds out she's going to bear his kits, her Clan finds out, she gets cast out, tries to run away to RiverClan, and her precious kits die. Happy ending, right? Well, if you think the novella ends here, you're very wrong. She has to get revenge on all those who had an influence in the death of her kits. If you're in the mood for reading about a bloodthirsty revenge-seeking crazed she-cat ex-warrior, then you're in the right place. Read Mapleshade's Vengeance. (10/10 novella!)
