This book is a raw and honest look into a young woman's life. She has had a lot of hardship in her life, which led her to make some questionable decisions.. Following her on the PCT was an experience and a half! I see a lot of her in myself. The fact that she comes to the trail without extensive preparations, but with a goal and an "go get it" attitude struck me as brave, not stupid as a lot of reviews suggests. In this story Cheryl is not perfect, she is flawed. And those flaws are thrown in the readers face - because "Wild" is a story of processing, growing and healing...

Loved the book! It was a perfect travel companion! Read it if you are open minded and maybe just a bit wild at heart
