I feel like I should not say I loved this book given it’s subject matter, but this was absolutely amazing. This should be a must read in schools. Often we want to gloss over the dark parts of our history and pretend like they have no relevance today, and honestly, until we are willing to address the issues of the past, we will never be able to move forward. Absolutely heartbreaking but beautifully written.
