This book and the subsequent rest of the series is just a guilty pleasure kind of read. Eve Dallas is a detective, a passionate one, and is often the lead on the homicide cases. Then there is her love interest / billionare, Roarke. This series is definitely R16/R18 (dependant one where you are in the world) and I will never not love these. I always finish them in one sitting, they always get me out of a reading slump, and I always love em.
