(read as French audio book)
This was a pretty fun book. Apparently Victor Lessard, the main character of the novel, stars in a TV show that was based on a couple of books written early by the author Martin Michaud. I haven't read the earlier books or watched the TV show, but assume that Ghetto X book takes place after the events in the TV, since Victor Lessard has retired from the police force and is now a security guard in the Casino de Montreal.

The book is a fun romp as Victor Lessard gets caught up in an assassination and Victor's past comes back to haunt him. There's melodrama, brash characters, reconciliation, action, tears and secret plots. What more could you ask for!
