Book #5 of the Salacious Players Club series and this time we have the romantic relationship of Ronan (56) and Daisy (21). The main kinks & taboos in this book are age gap (and a large one at that!), DD/LG, mother's ex-boyfriend, praise dom vs. pain kink.
Ronan has been a fundamental part of the SPC as a regular, similar to Madame Kink, and I was intrigued when I found out he would get his own book. We are introduced to Daisy in this book, who is the daughter of one of Ronan's previous love interests. It is important to note that whilst Ronan is unaware of Daisy's family background, Daisy intentionally tracked Ronan down and kept this a secret whilst their relationship developed. For me this deceit really put me off the book, Daisy had a lot of opportunities to be honest about her mother and overall, Daisy made many unfavourable decisions throughout the story.
I loved Ronan's cinnamon-roll character but found the scene with Madame Kink later in the book quite uncomfortable, I don't think there was enough communication between Ronan and Daisy. There is also a trope at the end of the book which I won't spoil but this was a disappointing end to what was actually a decent read.
This is probably my least favourite book of the series but it was still well-written and a mostly enjoyable read. I do think the series should have been a 4 book series, with each book centring on the owners, but at the same time I am interested in learning more about Madame Kink so am looking forward to the final book of the Salacious Players Club.
