This was a slow burn romance with a lot of drama and some toxic and interfering family members.
I liked how Anna and Kace balanced each other, and grew together during their unconventional relationship.
The story focussed a lot on trust and confidence, and it was great to see Anna stand up for herself especially against her family.
Kace pretends to be disabled after his accident to test his new wife, and she exceeds his expectations by being genuinely caring and compassionate, but it's only a matter of time before she learns the secrets he's been keeping.
This is a romance standalone with a dose of spice, family drama, learning to love, and finding yourself.
