This book captivated me at the beginning, and I really enjoyed the author’s writing style. The men’s longing for each other was delicious. It reads like historical fan fiction - a truly fun concept. But I ultimately struggled to finish the book, and the ending was a moment of “oh…that’s it?” It mostly seems like the book needed more editing. It’s a good second draft.
