Beautiful Broken Things by Sara Barnard

4.0

A very believable story of friendship between girls during high school. Despite being a simple premise, the story worked. This book just feels important. There's none of the usual distractions, and as a result, we were left with an honest portrayal of what female friendship and friendship through mental illness/trauma is like, and that is so refreshing despite the dark turns the book took. Definitely not a light read by any means. Certainly well worth a read.
