This book is so episodic it felt like watching a TV show at times, especially because many of the chapters included exposition re-introducing the characters. That made it really easy to set this book down for a long period of time and then pick it back up later, which is how I wound up “reading” it for two years.
Some of the descriptions were surprisingly beautiful. The author did a good job building tension and revealing each little mystery. 3.5 pretty entertaining.
