I read this through read me romance podcast and it was fine bc of the tropes like shy girl, popular guy etc. but then I realized it was set in 1970?

Like was there a reasons? I also think the characters didn’t act within their trope boundries especially the in the beginning like if you’re the shy girl who grew and become confident after high school then be that 100% or he’s supposed to be this baseball guy who’s a big player and he talks about having kids before their first date!

The chemistry wasn’t there enough to enjoy the spice so it wasn’t amazing but I could still see someone enjoying, however I didn’t.
