OMG, this was so good. Such a hidden gem. It deserves way more hype. I love grumpy/sunshine. Grumpy is a half demond, and sunshine is a bubbly little thief. This book was genuinely so funny. Their banter is top-notch. The imp calling her names the entire time was hilarious. Also, it's a slow burn romance, and it is agonizing watching them dance around each other.
The plot, at times, got a little lost. The book can be really silly at times. It doesn't take itself seriously, so I actually really liked the sillyness. It was almost Monty Python-ish.
Surprisingly, the world building was really in-depth. There's different types of magic and creatures, and places. I don't think it would stand up to an epic high fantasy, but it's doing something unique.
I genuinely enjoyed reading this, and I can't wait to pick up book 2.
