The Ambassador's Mission by Trudi Canavan
4.0
Good setup for the trilogy but lacks action
It's a bit of a slow moving book, which is probably due to it being the first of the trilogy. A lot of time is spent on small scenes, but the action scenes seem to last a mere page before it's on to the next small , detailed scene. That being said, even with so much setup, it's hard to determine things upcoming. Sure there are heroes, denoted by which characters the chapters follow, but there's not really a good sense of anything upcoming we are preparing for. But, again, it is just the first book in the trilogy.
