Too Hostile by Nicole Dykes

5.0

Oh my goodness, Fletcher and Ronan....the chemistry between them is fire from the first page. This is a one stop read, once you start, there is no way you want to put it down.
Fletcher is the self assured college kid, who looks like he has it all. If only they knew what he has gone through to get to where he is now. Ronan is his professor and can't get the frustratingly gorgeous student out of his head. You know Fletcher will wear Ronan down because he is powerless to ignore how he makes him feel. Fletcher is obsessed and even though he promises not to get attached he knows it's already too late. These two are seriously hot together and I'm more than a little bit in love with them both. Fletcher is more open about his past and has amazing family support. Ronan is slow to disclose his past and has absolutely no support. We are constantly reminded that this fling is just for the summer, and even these two know it is going to be so painful saying goodbye. The intimacy is beautiful and the depth of their feelings resonated throughout the story. It's not exactly angsty, but for a brief period it is just sad and unfair. Thankfully, the suffering is short lived and we are shown how pure love can be. The epilogue provides the start of their happy ever after. Such a beautiful story with such special characters.
