I loved Jackson. He is wildly flawed and well aware. He has no chill about how much he loves Elle and his own feelings of insecurity around that. He also stands at her side, not in front of her - I love a united front pairing! Elle is straight-up badass but also broken and I loved that she could be both. There are no magic dick fixes here and the PTSD I felt was portrayed well.
