I hate when books seem meh and then I get teary eyed at the end... It makes them really hard to rate... Nonetheless I'm sticking with my three-star, average rating because this book took me forever to read and the stories were kind of slow and boring. Admittedly I thought this whole book would take place after the series ended, so that was a disappointment as well (my own fault though). I did enjoy the extra insight into the characters' beginnings, but the best part of the main series for me was the friendship/romance/camaraderie between everyone, and you don't get that with prequel stories.
I hated the little android story, and honestly I can't remember much of the rest. I think I liked Wolf's and Winter's stories best—they are my favorite characters, so that tracks. I also remember Cinder's story being pretty interesting.
