The Fiery Heart by Richelle Mead

5.0

“Don’t take the high ground and assume you already know what you’ll do. The truth is, when it comes to someone you love, you’ll find there isn’t anything you won’t do.”

The Fiery Heart is the first book from this series that I haven't reread yet. I was exited to get to it with  Ruby @ Ruby's Books

I loved Sydney and Adrian in this book even if it made me sad they couldn't tell anyone they were in a relationship with someone. They looked out for each other by trying to cut back on things that were bad for them, like smoking and alcohol for Adrian and coffee for Sydney. She was also trying to eat more, much to her dad's disapproval.

“Centrum permanebit.”

I loved the little mentions we got about Hopper. I would've rather had more of him than about Nina or Zoe. I have never liked Zoe but this book just made me want to push her under a buss. Sydney is always worrying and taking care of her but Zoe only cares about their father ad becoming a super Alchemist.

I don't really see what Adrian sees in Jill. He thinks there's grace and wisdom radiating from her and I just see her as a normal teenager whose always there for their brother, or for someone they're bonded with in this case.

All in I absolutely loved this book even if there were those few characters that annoyed the hell out of me.
