Lula Dean's Little Library of Banned Books by Kirsten Miller

Ok. I have a love hate relationship with this book. I loved what it was about. I think people should read it. There.
But I read a lot and I am middle aged and listen, there was nothing subtle about this book. It was like getting beat over the head. People had conversations and then later told other people about those conversations. It was hard to keep track of all the characters. People were way too easily swayed and changed. It didn't work as an adult realistic fiction book. It would have been more palatable as a YA, Magical realistic book I think.
That said I didn't abandon it and read to the end. And I appreciated what the author was trying to do.
