The Horse and His Boy by C.S. Lewis
3.0
I thought the take of not focusing on the Pevensies as the main characters was an interesting choice, but the very cliche fairytale ending was a bit much. The "turns out he was a prince the whole time!" was expected and the "And then the 2 main characters got married when they grew up and they lived and argued happily ever after" was too much for me. I feel like Aravis's character was belittled down to "she's a girl and therefore can't do anything useful" by the end, and both horses didn't seem all that important. For a book called "The Horse and His Boy" the horse doesn't seem to do much at the end.
