Down Among the Sticks and Bones by Seanan McGuire
5.0
I can't believe it has taken me this long to read this series!! I am blown away.
I think it was a great choice to focus on Jack and Jill first, following the incidents from the first book as it felt fluid. Considering the size of these books, you would not expect such in depth character analysis but there is no lack luster character to be seen, everybody evokes emotion and has their own sense of belonging which is impressive for a less than 200 page book.
I was thrilled to see such great representation for contamination based OCD, an illness that was delicately handled and accurately represented.
I'm beyond excited to continue diving into this series!
