This was really good. A Story About Cancer With a Happy Ending opens a door to the realities of living with cancers. It shows the struggles of going through live being seen as a cancer patient, how by having cancer connects you with others who have the same disease and might not make it. This story creates understanding for people who are both directly and indirectly affected by this disease. Furthermore, the illustrations were lovely and captured the mood excellently. My favourite bit was at the end where the girl sheds here 'old self', marking the start of a new life.
