“He tasted like exquisite nightmares and stolen dreams, like the wings of fallen angels and bottles of fresh moonlight.”

TW/CW: Blood; Death; Violence; Abandonment; Child abuse; Grief
Caraval was over, and now Tella is playing all over again. This time, she is playing for much more than her and her sisters' freedom. Will she be able to pay her debt to the mysterious stranger who’s been helping her? Or will Tella’s new found magical paradise all come crashing down?
here are a lot of high fantasy vibes going on here. There are a lot of secrets revealed. There are a lot of questions raised. I fell in love with the world of Caravel once again, however I wasn’t as impressed with this book as I was with book one. It almost feels like a fever dream, where you remember every gory detail of book one, I can vividly remember the story of book three (I have read all three before writing my reviews. In fact I read them 3 months ago and I’m very behind on my reviews). I can’t remember a blasted thing from book two other than I loved it, and a few of the massive plot twists and revelations. My rating stands, because I did love it and I love Garbers writing, but overall this is in fact my least favorite of the three.
