This book contains details of grief, loss, death, pain, lgbtq+ strugfles, mental health, etc.

Words cannot express how this book made me feel. It was just simply perfect.

This book was beyond beautiful. A real tear-jerking read.

In this book we follow Liam 'Lee' Cooper as he battles the grief of losing his brother and even some of his friendships. Lee is a young person who has had way to much on their plate to deal with. But, he's strong and they show their strength in many ways.

One scene I really loved is where Lee casually said to Marcus about how they were non binary and Marcus immediately switched to they/them pronouns. That made me smile so widely! I loved that!!

Losing a brother cannot be easy, and Deaver shows this through Lee. Not only is Lee dealing with the loss of his brother, they're also dealing with the loss of their closest friendships. They make a new friend in Marcus, Ethan's best friend. Lee finally feels that he has someone to connect with, someone who can truly understand him and help them figure out who they truly are.

Deaver has written a book that tells the story of grief and finding one's self. Dealing with sensitive topics in a light way, Deaver has made this book one in which many readers can connect with.
If you're struggling with the likes of sexuality, gender, or you just want some connectivity to what's going in your life, this book is honestly perfect for you.

This book may not be a love story in a romantic way but its a love story in the way of family, of sibling love, of the love between friends and of the love in a community. This is a book that makes you feel accepted, a book that holds the story of many, some who are out and others who have yet to come out.
In my opinion, this is most certainly worth the read!

Key note: You'll need tissues and a comfortable seat. You won't want to get up until you've read this book through.
