When I say I loved the first book in this series, I mean it. But THIS one… You can pry it from my cold dead hands. You will hear me talk about it.
This takes what is still “taboo” but definitely a reality in some peoples lives and gives it a realistic showcase.

  • Multi POV
  • Poly relationship
  • Swinging
  • Self doubt
  • Self mom shaming
  • Found Family
  • Mental Health Rep
  • Dash of Groveling
  • Family Drama
  • Spice ( 5/5 🌶️)

This book follows two couples in the PTA, first Paige & Kaston, a marriage in crisis, and second Ryder & Harley the swinging couple that only moved back to Camden Hills for Ryders sick mom and had no intentions of staying.

Paige is a stay at home mom struggling to keep up the rouse in a life that is draining her.
Kaston has worked his life away to give his wife back the life he believes her took from her, but doesn’t realize what he’s done to their marriage.

Ryder left his family in Camden Hills when he realized he didn’t want to be forced into a role he didn’t want. He has been successful in his endeavor as shop owner with the love of his life. He didn’t know if he’d ever look back until he got the news about his mom and decided to uproot his new life to be there.
Harley had no interest in the floater Ryder was until he put the effort into to show her he’d stick around. He’s developed a beautiful fulfilling life with him ever since. She didn’t expect to uproot her life for the family she hasn’t got to meet yet, but anything for her love.

The history with Ryder & Paige, the cultural bonding with Harley & Kaston, the way they all grow and develop. I loved every second of the real & RAWNESS of these emotions and how to take this path from marriage in crisis to poly so healthily.

This is my Roman Empire.
