another one of those books that i wish i could have read and discussed with an english class.... beautifully written and i thought the narrator was interesting and had a strong voice! i liked looking at sokcho through her perspective and the themes of identity and aesthetics explored through her relationship with the town itself, its residents, and the guest

if my french reading comprehension ever progresses past that of like. an 8 year old i would love to read it in the original language!
